Terms of service
Last updated 26 September 2026
These terms apply when you create a Writine workspace or use the chat widget. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
1. Who these terms are between
They are between you, the business or person operating the workspace, and Writine, the operator of the service at writine.com.
Creating a workspace means you accept these terms. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business.
2. Your account
You need a working email address, because sign in links are sent there. Keep access to that mailbox to yourself and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has it.
You are responsible for what the members of your workspace do with it, including anyone you invite.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Writine to:
- send unsolicited bulk messages of any kind
- harass, threaten or deceive the people who contact you through it
- handle payment card numbers, government identifiers, or health records through the chat
- break the law, or help anyone else do so
- probe, overload or interfere with the service or the infrastructure behind it
We may suspend a workspace that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why.
4. Your content
Conversations, files and settings in your workspace belong to you. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to train anything.
You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store, transmit and display that content so your team and your visitors can see it.
5. Payment
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider. Prices exclude tax unless stated otherwise.
Cancelling schedules the end of your subscription for the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep paid features until then, and the workspace then moves to the free limits rather than being deleted.
We do not offer refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires one.
6. Availability
We work to keep Writine available and we do not promise it never breaks. We may change or remove features, and where a change is significant we will give reasonable notice.
7. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by deleting your workspace. Deleting it removes its conversations and settings, and that cannot be undone.
We may end the agreement if you break these terms materially and do not fix it within a reasonable period after we ask.
8. Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect, and continuing to use Writine after that means you accept the update.
